GOOGLE CLOUD JOINS THE EOS COMMUNITY, BECOMES A BLOCK MANUFACTURER

Google Cloud joins the EOS blockchain community. This time, the world's largest cloud storage company aims to become a block producer. To have this role, Google Cloud needs the approval or consensus of the EOS community.

Apart from that, EOS is indeed often criticized for its system which is considered “too” centralized or centralized by having at least 21 block producers.

Furthermore, Google Cloud developer and advocate, Allen Day, confirmed that the company has started the related process of becoming a block producer.

"When these companies started incorporating distributed ledger technology into their infrastructure, we were committed to ensuring that the information (existing) on the public blockchain is stored securely, with reliable availability, and can be accessed in an appropriate manner."

In the same document, Block One CEO Brendan Blumer stated that EOS is responsible for the majority of public blockchain activities. Although the statement is not accompanied by further supporting data.

"With most of the global public blockchain activity, EOS is a powerful solution for anyone who wants to take advantage of the decentralized ecosystem with ease".
